Ricky Craven: 2004 Charity Ride In

MOOSEHEAD LAKE SNOWMOBILE ADVENTURES
With hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails, the Moosehead Lake Area is a sledder's paradise. Five local clubs, town employees and many volunteers keep these trails in great condition. Whether you want to take just a morning or afternoon trip, or spend all day on the trails your choices are many. Pack a lunch and stop at any number of locations with beautiful scenery; or plan to ride to one of the surrounding towns and enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner at one of the areas restaurants or inns that cater to snowmobilers.

The Moosehead Lake Trail system offers all the services one would expect to find in a 4-season resort area with food, fuel and repair services available along the way. Arctic Cat, Ski-Doo and Yamaha dealer services are available in Greenville. New Kiosks with location and phone numbers of area businesses, directions, mileages, emergency contact numbers and upcoming events are also located in the Greenville Area. Snowmobile friendly lodging is available throughout the Region with access to local club trails and the ITS.

Snowmobiling is great winter sport and enjoyed by people of all ages. We suggest you know before you go and check local ice conditions with any of the five local snowmobile clubs before venturing out onto any lake or pond. Remember to ride to the right, ride safe, have fun and enjoy our beautiful area.

The Moosehead Trail – This 166 mile loop circumnavigates the lake taking you through surrounding towns of Greenville, Kokadjo, NE Carry, Seboomook, Pittston Farm, Rockwood and back to Greenville.

RT 66 – ½ Loop- Approximately 55 miles this is the Southern part of the Moosehead Trail taking you through the towns of Greenville, Kokadjo, and Rockwood.

Annual B52 Memorial Ride- This yearly event ride departs from the Moosehead Riders Snowmobile Club (MRSC) in Greenville and is held the week before the Ricky Craven Ride to commemorate those who serve our country. Railroad Bed- ITS 85S – This is our widest and for the most part a reasonably straight trail that takes you surrounding towns located South of Greenville.

Pittston Farms- Serving home cooked meals, this rustic inn has history that dates back to the days of lumbering and river running. Depending upon point of departure, it can be a full day ride, but certainly one you won't forget.
