Town of Greenville Employment Opportunity The Greenville Recreation Department is accepting applications for Lifeguards for the 2008 summer Learn to Swim Program and supervised swims at the Town owned Red Cross Beach.

Employment begins the week of June 23, 2008 and will end the week of August 18, 2008.

Successful applicants will be required to provide a current Life Guard Certificate or successfully complete a certified Life Guard Instruction Course prior to June 1, 2008. Reimbursement for successfully completing Life guard Instruction course available.

Applications are available at the Greenville Town Office, 7 Minden Street, Greenville, Maine.

Application deadline is Friday, May 30, 2008.

Greenville Parks and Recreation Department Co-ed Basketball Clinic The Greenville Parks and Recreation Department will be sponsoring a 2 day co-ed basketball clinic for grades 5 to 12 on Thursday & Friday August 14 & 15 at the Pritham Gym. Long time and very successful Maine basketball coaches Bob Brown, head coach of the 2008 Class A Boys State Champions Cheverus High School and Tony Hamlin, head coach of Penquis High School will be leading this specialized camp.

This clinic will be for boys and girls in Grades 5 through 12. Grades 5 through 8 will be scheduled from 1 to 4 pm on Thursday, August 14 and on Friday, August 15 from 9am to 12 noon. Grades 9 through 12 will be scheduled from 5 to 8pm on Thursday, August 14 and from 1 to 4pm on Friday, August 15.

Program cost $10.00.

Registration deadline is Wednesday, August 13 at 4pm.
