• Road Commissioner's Report - May 17, 2007

The Town of Greenville Public Works Department performs numerous vital functions to the Greenville Community. Everyone who drives through Town or walks across our Boardwalk or one of our Parks and steps onto one of our docks or sits in our new Gazebo or even lands an airplane at our airport benefits from the maintenance work done by the Public Works Department.

The Department is made up of three full-time employees. Foreman Michael Thornton leads the department through its daily operations and fulfills its seasonal goals in close conjunction with Town Manager and Road Commissioner John Simko. Equipment Operator Michael Drinkwater and Mark Bernier, make up our three-man roster as Equipment Operator's.

Public Works Garage
The Greenville Public Works is located at 76 Moosehead Industrial Park.
The Garage not only houses the Public Works, but also the Recycling Center.

Equipment

The Town owns and operates a variety of pieces of equipment, including the following major pieces:

• One 1986 single-axle, 6-yard plow trucks (Ford L-8000)
• One 2001 Sterling Wheeler, 13-yard plow truck
• One 1992 670B John Deere Grader
• One sand-piper sand and gravel screen
• One 2006 GMC Topkick 5500 4x4plow & wing. 3 to 4 yd. Stainless dump.
• One 2003 Sterling wheeler 13 yd. Plow truck
• One 2006 JD 544J John Deere front-end Loader
• One 2004 JD TC62H Tool Carrier (Airport Machine)
• One 1996 JD 544G Front-end Loader (Landfill)
• One 2004 Blanchet Snowblower
• One 1984 Blanchet Snowblower
