MMA honors Greenville GREENVILLE - The Maine Municipal Association (MMA) will present the town of Greenville with the top award in the MMA Great Idea competition at the organization's annual banquest tonight (Oct. 19) at the Bangor Civic Center.

The MMA selected Greenville as the top entrant among towns in the 1,001 to 5,000 population category, said Town Manager John Simko.

Greenville was honored for its efforts to coordinate Moosehead-related Web Sites, making it easier for internet surfers to find out information about the community. Moosehead Trail Sign

The new sites also have the same Moosehead Trail sign that's been approved by the Maine Department of Transportation and will soon be installed on major routes between Newport and Jackman.

So far, 16 Moosehead-related Web Sites have registered with the new directory, said Simko.
