Local woman to lead Moosehead Chamber
Saturday, October 27, 2001
GREENVILLE — Sara Holman began her duties Monday as the new executive director of the Moosehead Lake Region Chamber of Commerce.

Holman, who owns a print shop in Greenville, said Friday that her initial focus would be on increasing the Chamber membership and improving the visitor’s guide to make it more informative and clearer.

The new director said she would be at the Chamber’s information center from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday until snow falls, after which new hours will be posted.

Holman, who previously was a Chamber member, said she planned to visit local contractors, businesses and other service people and discuss the Chamber’s role in connection with their jobs or services.

A number of people have volunteered to help the Chamber in some fashion, from working on the visitors guide to helping out on events, according to Holman. “It’s awesome to have that outpouring of help,” she said, quickly adding, “and I’ll take each and everyone up on it.”
