Town plans to submit application for Housing Grant in 2004
Wednesday, December 17, 2003
The Town received a $300,000 Community Development Grant from the State in 2001 to undertake necessary home improvements for income eligible residents. A total of 28 families received improvements through that program. Repairs included such things as septic systems, wells, roofing, replacement windows and doors, wheelchair ramps and other health, safety, or energy efficiency related improvements. In order to continue this important work, Greenville and Shirley will submit a joint application for new funding in February of 2004.

In order for us to submit a competitive application, it is important to identify residents in need of this housing assistance grant program. Please contact the Community Development office at 1-800-648-8335 or the Town Office if you feel you could benefit from this housing program. If we are successful, funds could be available as early as next summer.
