The Shirley Community Church will host its annual coffee to raise money for Christmas gifts for residents of the Charles A. Dean Nursing Home on Saturday, October 22. The event will be held at the church's fellowship room from 9 to 11 a.m.

There will be a variety of goodies to go with coffee and juice, including muffins, doughnuts, sweet breads, coffee cake, and more. Admission will be by donation. All monies raised through the event will go to the nursing home program to purchase holiday gifts. For more information, contact Colleen Ashe at 695-2517.

To reach the Shirley Community Church from Greenville, travel south on Route 15 to the Upper Shirley Corner Road and follow it through town to the church. From the south, travel north on Route 15 to the Lower Shirley Corner Road and follow it through town to the church.
