Friends of Wilson Pond Hosts Black Bear Program

Monday, July 26, 7:00 p.m. - Friends of Wilson Pond Area, Inc. is hosting their annual public education program Monday night July 26th. The program will held at 7:00 PM at the Ready Workers’ Community House, Pritham Avenue in Greenville. Doug Kane, Regional Biologist with Maine Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, will present an informational program on the Maine Black Bear. Come join us as we learn about the black bear, where it lives, what it eats, how it survives and how it rears its young. There will be slides as well as displays for the audience to see. This program is for both adults and children.

Friends of Wilson Pond Area, Inc. is a local charitable land trust, incorporated in 1992. Its mission is to protect and conserve land for the benefit of residents and visitors to the Greenville, Maine area. For more information, contact 695-3149.
