The "Music in the Gazebo" concert series presents Evergreen in the Town Gazebo located next to the Katahdin Steamship Parking Lot in the Village of Greenville. Bring your picnic blanket or lawn chair, a sweater in case of a cool lake breeze, and sunglasses to view a classic Moosehead sunset while listening to "eclectic folk-bluegrass" from this quartet of central Maine musicians. Evergreen has been entertaining audiences in Maine and the rest of New England since 1991. Their musical style blends elements of folk, bluegrass, country and blues with jazz, swing, rock, and continental ethnic traditions in a seamless mix of upbeat, energizing acoustic music that appeals to a wide range of listeners. Smooth, tight harmonies, solid instrumentation, and original interpretations characterize their performances and make this unique band worthwhile listening. The band has recorded three CDs to date: Roots & Branches (1997), Common Place (2000), and Dream Reel (2003). |
