"Senior Celebration & Safety Awareness"

Please come and join the Town of Greenville 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at our first-annual Citizen Appreciation Day! ALL CITIZENS are welcomed to join the fun at the Greenville Gazebo & the Moosehead Marine Museum and Steamship Katahdin for this first-annual event! This year's theme is: “Senior Celebration & Safety Awareness”

For those citizens 55 and older, there will be free drawings for donated items from Greenville businesses, courtesy of the Moosehead Lake Region Chamber of Commerce. There will be a free buffet lunch* on the Katahdin (while moored) courtesy of Indian Hill Trading Post and DKB's Catering of Greenville. The entire event is also generously underwritten by Century 21 Muzzy Real Estate.

* Charles A. Dean Memorial Hospital's Ambulance Crew will offer free blood pressure checks and tours of the ambulance on site.
* The Greenville Fire and Police Departments & Maine Warden Service will have their vehicles on display and will offer safety tips of particular interest to the senior population.
* Representatives will be present to answer your questions from Eastern Agency on Aging, Penquis CAP, the Lynx, the Foster Grandparent Program, the Town of Greenville and C.A. Dean Hospital & Nursing Home & Northwoods Healthcare.
* Tours of the Moosehead Marine Museum and the Katahdin available throughout the day.
* Cecil R. Cole American Legion Post #94 will hold bingo at the Legion Hall on Pritham Avenue beginning at 12:00 PM.

To be held rain or shine from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at the Greenville Gazebo and the Moosehead Marine Museum. If you would like a ride to this event, or would like more information, please contact the Greenville Town Office at 695-2421.
* suggested donation for lunch for those under 55 years of age: $5, children under 12 free.
