Wednesday, March 22, 2006
If you collect those delightful wooden reproduction cutouts of Moosehead area buildings, youıll definitely want the latest one -- a colorful, handpainted design showing the Shirley Community Church.

The cutout, a wooden reproduction of the church building as viewed from West Road, is on heavy wood and is a self-standing roughly triangular cutout 5.25 inches tall by 7.25 inches wide and nearly an inch thick. The colorful design shows the church in summer, with blue sky, clouds and a forested backdrop. Both the sanctuary and Fellowship Hall feature prominently in the cutout.

The design, an original from Fernwood Artworks of Machias, Maine, was ordered by the Shirley Community Church Council as one of several activities and events to celebrate the centennial of the churchıs founding in 1906.

This beautiful memento of the churchıs centennial is available for $16.00 if picked up, or can be mailed anywhere in the U.S. for $20.00 postpaid.

You may purchase the item at Moosehead Communications, 719 Moosehead Lake Road, Greenville, ME 04441 (phone 695-3163) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, or through any church member. Mail orders at $20 per item should be sent to Moosehead Communications. Checks should be made out to the Shirley Community Church.
