This standing committee was formed to oversee and to implement the recently announced recommendations of the Piscataquis Tourism Task Force. These eight recommendations can be found online at: http://www.pcedc.org/tourismtaskforce

The Committee's work will be aided by a part time contracted staff.

Specifically, the PCEDC is seeking volunteers who represent the following:

• 2 private sector representatives from Moosehead Lake Region Chamber of Commerce
• 2 private sector representatives from the So. Piscataquis Chamber of Commerce
• 3 members at-large representing eastern-southern-western regions of county
• 1 landowner representative
• 1 municipal manager
• 1 county manager
• 1 regional marketing representative from Maine Highlands Corporation
• 1 state level representative from Maine Office of Tourism

Initial service on this committee is for one year, 2006, with provision for re-appointment over 2007.
